Aims & Scope

The Malaysian Journal of Sustainable Agriculture (MJSA) is a premier peer-reviewed, interdisciplinary journal committed to deepening global insights into sustainable agriculture and food systems. Around the world, communities continue to grapple with urgent issues such as food insecurity, biodiversity decline, and the growing impacts of climate change on farming and land use. Agriculture remains a powerful force in shaping both ecological and social landscape, sometimes beneficial and sometimes harmful. MJSA explores how sustainable transitions can occur at all levels, from individual farms to international supply chains. The journal emphasizes evidence-based analysis and innovative theoretical approaches, with a strong focus on clarity, logic, and well-supported conclusions. Its mission is to expand knowledge of effective technologies and practices, identify enabling or obstructive policies and systems, and draw actionable lessons to guide the advancement of agricultural sustainability. The Malaysian Journal of Sustainable Agriculture (MJSA) prioritizes submissions that explicitly and comprehensively address the sustainability dimensions of agricultural research. Manuscripts reporting technical or experimental results are considered only if they provide clear, well-integrated discussions of their relevance to sustainable agriculture. MJSA welcomes contributions from scholars and practitioners worldwide.
