Aims & Scope

AJTES provides a platform for sharing recent developments in clinical practice, education, and research, with particular emphasis on trauma, emergency, and acute care surgery. AJTES publishes original research, reviews, editorials, letters, short communications, and case reports, encompassing all domains of surgery and not only... Submissions are invited from disciplines including General Surgery, Trauma, Acute Care Surgery, Emergency Medicine, Anesthesiology, Intensive Care Medicine, Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgery, Orthopedic Surgery, Neurosurgery, and other related specialties, and across all emergency medicine and medical disciplines directly and indirectly related to it. The journal also welcomes submissions from emerging areas, such as surgical technology and artificial intelligence in acute care. AJTES encourages submissions on surgical technology, artificial intelligence in acute care, and advancements in trauma care systems.

A twelfth criterion — whether APC fees are clearly disclosed — is not scored here; it is left out of the total rather than counted as a failure. Publication charges appear in the metrics card above.
