Our ethical guidelines are aligned with these international standards and should be read in conjunction with this broader guidance. IJHS is committed to upholding the highest standards of integrity and transparency in all aspects of the publication process, including authorship, peer review, editorial decision-making, and post-publication discussion. The ICMJE recommendations can be accessed at http://www.icmje.org/ and the COPE guidelines at https://publicationethics.org/   DUTIES OF AUTHORS Reporting Standards: Authors of original research reports must present an accurate account of the work performed, accompanied by an objective discussion of its significance. The underlying data should be represented accurately in the manuscript. A paper must contain sufficient detail and references to enable others to replicate the work. Fabrication, falsification, or deliberate misrepresentation of results constitutes unethical behavior and is unacceptable. Data Access and Retention: Authors may be asked to provide the raw data in connection with a manuscript for editorial review and should be prepared to provide public access to such data (consistent with the ALPSP-STM Statement on Data and Databases), if feasible. In any case, authors should be prepared to retain such data for a reasonable period after publication. Originality and Plagiarism: Authors must ensure that they have written entirely original works. If the authors have used the work and/or words of others, these must be appropriately cited or quoted. The similarity index checked using Turnitin must not exceed 20%. Multiple, Redundant, or Concurrent Publication: An author should not publish manuscripts describing essentially the same research in more than one journal or primary publication. Submitting the same manuscript to more than one journal concurrently constitutes unethical publishing behavior and is unacceptable. Acknowledgement of Sources: Proper acknowledgment of the work of others must always be given. Authors should cite publications that have influenced the nature of the reported work. Authorship of the Paper: Authorship should be limited to those who have made a significant contribution to the conception, design, execution, or interpretation of the reported research. All those who have made significant contributions should be listed as co-authors. Where others have participated in substantive aspects of the research project, they should be acknowledged or listed as contributors. The corresponding author must ensure that all appropriate co-authors are included, that no inappropriate co-authors are listed, and that all co-authors have seen and approved the final version of the paper and have agreed to its submission for publication. Disclosure and Conflicts of Interest: All authors must disclose any financial or other substantive conflicts of interest that might be construed as influencing the results or interpretation of their manuscript. All sources of financial support for the project must be disclosed. Fundamental Errors in Published Works: When an author discovers a significant error or inaccuracy in their published work, it is the author’s obligation to promptly notify the journal editor or publisher and cooperate with the editor to retract or correct the paper. Hazards and Human or Animal Subjects: If the work involves the use of hazardous chemicals, procedures, or equipment, the authors must clearly identify these in the manuscript.   DUTIES OF EDITORS Fair Play: Editors must evaluate manuscripts for their intellectual content without regard to the authors’ race, gender, sexual orientation, religious belief, ethnic origin, citizenship, or political philosophy. Confidentiality: The editor and any editorial staff must not disclose any information about a submitted manuscript to anyone other than the corresponding author, reviewers, potential reviewers, other editorial advisors, and the publisher, as appropriate. Disclosure and Conflicts of Interest: Unpublished materials disclosed in a submitted manuscript must not be used in an editor’s own research without the express written consent of the author. Publication Decisions: The editorial board of the journal is responsible for deciding which articles submitted to the journal will be published. The validation of the work in question and its importance to researchers and readers must always guide such decisions. Editors may be guided by the journal’s editorial policies and constrained by legal requirements regarding libel, copyright infringement, and plagiarism. Editors may confer with other editors or reviewers in making these decisions. Review of Manuscripts: Editors must ensure that each manuscript is initially evaluated for originality. Editors should organize and conduct peer review fairly and judiciously. They should describe their peer review process in the information provided to authors and indicate which parts of the journal are subject to peer review. Editors should select reviewers with appropriate expertise while avoiding those with conflicts of interest.   DUTIES OF REVIEWER Contribution to Editorial Decisions: Peer review assists the editor in making editorial decisions, and through editorial communication with the author, may also help the author improve the quality of the manuscript. Submission Preparation Checklist As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines. The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor). The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or document file format. Where available, URLs for the references have been provided. The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end. The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal. If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed. Author Guidelines The journal covers original research articles, systematic reviews, literature reviews, meta-analyses, and case studies with a minimum sample size of 30 participants, related to any domain of health sciences. It publishes articles reporting novel findings in the fields of nursing, midwifery, public health, medicine, pharmacy, biochemistry, and molecular biology–related drug design. Studies addressing national health priorities, ethical considerations, and policy implications are particularly encouraged. GENERAL GUIDELINES All manuscripts should be submitted online through the Indonesian Journal for Health Sciences (IJHS) submission system. Upon submission, authors will receive an automatic acknowledgment e-mail containing a tracking article ID for future reference. If the acknowledgment e-mail is not received (please check the spam folder), authors are advised to resubmit the manuscript through the system. Submissions sent via e-mail or post will not be accepted . Authors can monitor the progress of their manuscripts through the online tracking system. All submissions are subject to initial editorial screening and plagiarism detection. IJHS enforces a zero-tolerance policy toward plagiarism, fabrication, and redundant publication. Manuscripts containing uncredited copied material will be rejected immediately, and if duplication is detected after publication, the article will be retracted in accordance with the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) guidelines. EDITORIAL PROCESS Each manuscript is reviewed by the editors, and if of a sufficient standard, sent for blinded review by at least two reviewers from different provinces or regions, selected by the journal team based on their expertise. The journal follows a double-blind review process , wherein the reviewers and authors are unaware of each other's identity. The editorial team, based on the comments from the reviewers, takes a final decision on the manuscript. The outcome may be acceptance without revision, acceptance with minor corrections, acceptance with major revisions, or rejection. The corresponding author will be allowed to revise the manuscript ac
