Aims & Scope
International Trade, Politics and Development is a diamond open access journal published in partnership with an organisation. Authors are not required to pay an article processing charge (APC). The journal publishes research papers, viewpoints, technical papers, conceptual papers, case studies, literature reviews, and general reviews. It encourages transparent research practices and supports the reproducibility of research through the adoption of transparent research practices. Authors are encouraged to cite and fully reference all data, program code, and other methods in their article, and to include persistent identifiers such as a Digital Object Identifier (DOI) in references for datasets and program codes. The journal follows COPE guidelines and has its own research and publishing ethics guidelines. It uses Crossref Similarity Check to check on the originality of submissions. Authors must declare any conflicts of interest. The journal requires authors to obtain informed consent for research involving human participants and to provide an ethical statement confirming institutional and national (or international) ethical approval. Third-party copyright permissions must be obtained prior to article submission. The journal uses the Harvard referencing style.
