Aims & Scope

The Journal of Rock Mechanics is a quarterly publication that operates under the auspices of the Iranian Society for Rock Mechanics, to advance knowledge in the burgeoning field of rock mechanics. The journal is dedicated to promoting the development and progress of this discipline in an exemplary manner. To facilitate this goal, it offers open access to the articles authored by researchers and actively invites submissions of original research and findings. The journal employs a double-blind peer review process to ensure the highest standards of quality and integrity in the published content. The Journal of Rock Mechanics encompasses a wide array of submissions, including fundamental research, developmental studies, applied knowledge, technical notes, research articles, and thorough reviews.
