Malaysian Journal of Music
Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris · Malaysia · Est. 2012
Aims & Scope
An objective of the Malaysian Journal of Music is to be a platform for music scholars to critically discuss issues related to music. Whilst the Journal is based in Malaysia, articles focusing on any region with theoretically robust and empirically engaging content are welcome. We invite submissions of original articles from a wide spectrum of research areas including musicology, ethnomusicology, music education, performance, composition, music technology, popular music, music therapy, and music business. Multidisciplinary research that includes music is also welcome. The Journal publishes articles in both English and Bahasa Melayu. Submission of an article to the Malaysian Journal of Music is held to imply that it represents an original contribution not previously published and that it is not being considered elsewhere. All submissions must conform to our publication guidelines. A flexibility of presentation modes may be accepted for articles on music composition, performance, or music technology, notwithstanding an imperative of strong academic writing standards.
