Aims & Scope
Galactica Media: Journal of Media Studies is a modern Academic Journal in the field of media studies, operating exclusively online since 2019. We are committed to disseminating academic knowledge by publishing high-quality research articles, reviews, informational resources, as well as reports on academic expeditions and conferences. Galactica Media covers a wide range of topics related to media research, from history and cultural studies to anthropology and philosophy. The name reflects inspiration from the works of media culture theorist Herbert Marshall McLuhan and his concepts of the "Galaxy" (the Gutenberg Galaxy, the Marconi Galaxy, etc.). The journal accepts publications in fields such as historical studies, anthropology, theory and history of culture, philosophy. However, this does not mean that articles and other materials written in other branches of research will be categorically rejected. The journal welcomes articles on issues of media and mass culture, written from the perspective of the most diverse academic directions or at the intersection of several researches, as this approach, in our opinion, can be the most effective and allow looking at known problems from a new angle.
