STAR Protocols publishes protocols for experimental research across various biological disciplines. Recent articles detail methods for quantifying light scattering in coral skeletons, imaging whole soft tissues, studying intestinal fibrosis in mouse models, and detecting protein modifications in plants. Protocols are also presented for simulating morphogen gradients, measuring antibody titers to viral proteins, performing heterotopic mouse intestinal transplantation, and lipidomic analysis of human serum. Additional methods cover single-nucleus isolation from cardiac tissue, preventing necrosis in cortical organoids, identifying unknown protein modifications, and preparing fiber-defined media for gut microbial growth.
