Aims & Scope
About the Journal The Journal of Cardiac Arrhythmias covers, in their scope, the areas of arrhythmia, electrophysiology and artificial heart simulation, allowing the publication of advances in the treatment of heart disease, aiming to achieve the electrocardiographs, electrophysiologists, and cardiologists. Its mission is to disseminate original and unpublished works of theoretical and/or practical relevance resulting from technical and scientific research in the field of arrhythmia, electrophysiology and artificial heart simulation and to be recognized as a means of communication and exchange of knowledge internationally. The publication of the Journal of Cardiac Arrhythmias occurs quarterly with immediate free access to its content, following the principle of gratuity and democratization of public access to scientific knowledge. The first edition was published in 1988 under the title of the Brazilian Journal of Pacemaker and Arrhythmia. In 1994, it was renamed REBLAMPA - Brazilian and Latin American Journal of Pacemaker and Arrhythmia, changed in 2007 to RELAMPA - Latin American Journal of Pacemaker and Arrhythmia. Recently, in 2018, it was renamed the Brazilian Journal of Cardiac Arrhythmias and, currently, aiming at its internationalization, it adopted the title Journal of Cardiac Arrhythmias. The JCA is published on a regular quarterly frequency since 1977. Journal of Cardiac Arrhythmias adopts the double-blind peer review system, in which the identity of the authors and evaluators is preserved. The submitted manuscripts will be initially checked for adequacy to the scope, observance of compliance with publishing rules and content similarity (plagiarism), using the iThenticate system. Manuscripts without or with a low percentage of similarity will be sent for evaluation. Manuscripts with high similarity content will be returned to the author for correction or rejected in definitive. Manuscripts accepted for evaluation will be sent to at least two ad hoc referee
