Aims & Scope
The journal specialises in academic publications devoted to teacher education, lifelong professional education, and adult education. Its main focus is on professional training, instructional design, professional development, digital transformation in education, the use of ICT, and artificial intelligence specifically in educational and pedagogical contexts. The journal considers studies related to: the training of future teachers, lecturers, researchers, and other specialists in the pedagogical context; the professional development of teachers, university lecturers, academic staff, trainers, adult educators, and education managers; the development of pedagogical competences in higher education, postgraduate education, adult education, and lifelong learning; digital technologies, media education, distance learning, blended learning, and online learning; the use of artificial intelligence in teacher education, in the professional work of teachers, in higher education, and in educational practice in schools; educational policy, quality assurance, international practice, and institutional change in teacher education and adult education. The journal accepts studies related to higher education, general secondary education, postgraduate education, adult education, professional development, and other forms of learning provided that they have a clear pedagogical, educational, or professional development context. The journal does not consider manuscripts devoted only to specialised technical or subject-specific problems without a clear pedagogical or educational context. In particular, the journal’s scope does not include: studies in mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology, engineering, IT, computer science, and similar fields if they are not directly related to education, teaching, learning, professional training, or the development of pedagogical competences; purely technical studies of software, algorithms, models, or systems without analysis of their pedagogical use; narrow subject-based studies that do not have an educational, pedagogical, adult education, or professional development focus. For example, the journal may consider articles on the training of physics teachers, the use of AI in the professional work of lecturers, or digital tools in teacher education, but it does not publish articles on physics as a science, pure programming, engineering calculations, or computer systems outside the educational context.
