Aims & Scope
website of the Ukrainian Theriological Society www.terioshkola.org.ua Novitates Theriologicae(bulletin of theriological news) is a series of publications edited by the Ukrainian Theriological Society of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine. It was launched in 2000 on the occasion of the beginning of the new millennium and the organisation of a series of new conferences, as well as of the start of a number of new forms of the society's activities. Since issue 10 (2020), the series became a periodical published both print and online with ISSN 2709-491X (Print) and ISSN 2709-4928 (Online). Submission and publication of manuscripts is free of charge. Online-media identifier: R40-07051; print-media identifier: R30-07113. Publication of articles — at the expense of the editor-in-chief. All issues of the seriesNovitates Theriologicaeare thematic, especially after theProceedings of the Theriological School(nowTheriologia Ukrainica) transformed into a journal (starting from volume 10). The main attention is paid to the study of wild mammals, both native and alien species, including the synanthropic fauna. Therefore, key research areas are related to the study of the current composition of fauna and its long-term changes, seasonal dynamics, features of geographic and biotopic distribution of species, issues of species variability and diagnostics, analysis of populations, guilds and communities, fauna protection. The bulletin was launched as a non-periodical publication initiated by the organisers of the society's current seminars and according to the ideas of the editors about publishing thematic issues. From 2015, the publication had been published biennially, although since 2020Novitates Theriologicaeis being published annually or semi-annually. The contents of the journal are freely available under the CC BY-SA 4.0 license.
