Aims & Scope

Journal of Enterprise and Development (JED) is an international peer-reviewed journal dedicated to publishing high-quality research in the fields of economics, finance, management, entrepreneurship, and tourism, particularly studies that examine their implications for enterprise development, public policy, competitiveness, innovation, and sustainable economic development at the local, national, and global levels. The journal provides a scholarly forum for original research that advances theoretical, empirical, and policy discussions on how business and economic activities shape development outcomes in emerging and developed economies. JED welcomes studies that offer clear academic contributions and practical relevance for researchers, practitioners, and policymakers. JED publishes manuscripts in, but not limited to, the following areas: Economics (including development economics, Islamic economics, regional economics, public economics, and applied economics) Finance (including Islamic finance, corporate finance, financial markets, financial inclusion, and sustainable finance) Management (including strategic management, human resource management, operations, marketing, and organizational studies) Entrepreneurship (including MSME development, entrepreneurial ecosystems, innovation, business resilience, and digital entrepreneurship) Tourism (including sustainable tourism, destination management, tourism economics, hospitality, and community-based tourism) JED prioritizes manuscripts that demonstrate: 1) strong theoretical or empirical contribution to the advancement of knowledge in the social sciences, 2) clear relevance to enterprise, business, or development-related issues, 3) rigorous methodology and analytical clarity, and 4) implications for policy, practice, or future research.
