Collectanea Theologica
Cardinal Stefan Wyszynski University in Warsaw · Poland · Est. 1920
Aims & Scope
Collectanea Theologica is a scientific quarterly of Polish theologians, initiated in 1920. The main goal of the journal Collectanea Theologica is to present the current state of theology in Poland and its place in world theology. The journal covers a wide spectrum of theological issues, from biblical questions to current pastoral and liturgical challenges. Collectanea Theologica is a Catholic journal and is primarily dedicated to Catholic theology, but it also shows ecumenical openness to theologians of other Christian denominations. The quarterly goes to all theological libraries in Poland and a dozen or so important foreign libraries. In accordance with the journal's profile, the primary languages of publication in the journal are Polish and English. Texts written in English are preferred. Collectanea Theologica is currently one of the flagship general theological scientific journals in Poland (100 points MEiN). Therefore, submitted texts should be not only good, but excellent in terms of content and form. In accordance with the editorial board's original assumptions, articles, especially those published in English, should engage in international theological debates. Therefore, their level must meet the requirements for participation in theological discussions on the international stage. It is not enough to simply discuss source texts to introduce them to Polish readers. Submitted texts should, as a rule, include the formulation of a research problem (preferably significant and/or current), the current status quaestionis in international research, against this background, one's own way of solving the problem, conclusions, an abstract, and an adequate bibliography. The intended recipients of the texts are theology professors and theology enthusiasts in Poland and worldwide.
