Computer Methods in Materials Science
Wydawnictwa AGH · Poland · Est. 2001
Aims & Scope
Computer Methods in Material Science povides an international medium for the publication of studies related to various aspects of applications of computer methods in the broad area of materials science. Appropriate submissions to Computer Methods in Materials Science should enhance the communication between experimental materials research and computational work on both existing and new, advanced materials and their applications. It publishes articles of interest to materials researchers, engineers, specialists and other scientists involved with computational modelling of materials properties, phenomena, and processes. Beyond this, the journal covers the development of advanced computational methods in the fields of computational engineering, computational mechanics, computational fluid dynamics, bio and medical engineering, civil engineering, machine learning, artificial intelligence and optimization. Papers on methods to predict materials’ behaviour, properties, microstructure evolution or interactions with the environment during processing and exploitation can be submitted, as well. What distinguishes the journal, among other material science journals, is its strong computer science impact. Several Editorial Board members are computer science researchers, and novel contribution in modelling techniques and computational engineering is emphasized in the papers. Thematic scope: Applications of computer methods in a wide range of material science investigations focused on metals, alloys, multi-phase composites, nanostructures, etc.; Applications of computer methods across a wide range
