Aims & Scope
The Journal of Trade Science is a diamond open access journal that publishes research on all aspects of trade science. It is published in partnership with an organisation, and authors are not required to pay an article processing charge (APC). The journal aims to provide a professional and courteous experience at each stage of the review and publication process. It follows the COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics) guidelines and has developed its own research and publishing ethics guidelines. The journal encourages transparent research practices and supports the Transparency and Openness Promotion (TOP) Guidelines. It also encourages authors to cite and fully reference all data, program code, and other methods in their article, and to include persistent identifiers such as DOIs for datasets and program codes. The journal accepts submissions in Microsoft Word, LaTeX (with accompanying PDF), and PDF formats. Articles should be a maximum of 8000 words. The journal uses a structured abstract with specific sub-headings. Keywords should be up to 12 in number. The journal accepts various article types including Research paper, Viewpoint, Technical paper, Conceptual paper, Case study, Literature review, and General review. Figures should be submitted electronically in high resolution and acceptable formats include .ai, .eps, .jpeg, .bmp, and .tif. Tables should be typed and submitted in a separate file, numbered consecutively in Roman numerals with brief titles. Supplementary files can be hosted on Emerald's Insight platform or an alternative trusted online repository. References must be formatted using one of the recognised Harvard styles, with DOIs included where available.
