Phytopathogenomics and Disease Control
Society for Innovative Agriculture · Pakistan · Est. 2023
Aims & Scope
The Phytopathogenomics and Disease Control publishes high-quality original research articles, review papers, short communications, and research notes that advance scientific knowledge in plant pathology, phytopathogenomics, and molecular plant–microbe interactions. The journal aims to support sustainable agriculture and effective plant protection strategies by promoting research that enhances understanding of plant diseases, their causal agents, and host–pathogen interactions, while contributing to the development of durable, disease-resistant crop varieties and improved disease management practices. The journal covers both fundamental and applied research in phytopathology, molecular biology, and related interdisciplinary fields, with an emphasis on: Phytopathogenomics and comparative genomics; Phylogenomics, phylogenetics, and operational taxonomy of plant pathogens; Population genetics and evolutionary biology of phytopathogens; Molecular mechanisms of pathogenesis and virulence; Plant–microbe and host–pathogen interactions; Disease assessment, epidemiology, and integrated disease management; Pathogenicity and host specificity studies; Genome editing and functional genomics of plant pathogens and hosts; Computational biology and bioinformatics in plant pathology; Molecular plant breeding and biotechnology for disease resistance.
