Thoracic Research and Practice

Aims & Scope

Thoracic Research and Practice started in 2000 as the official periodic publication of the Turkish Thoracic Society . The journal aims to publish studies of the highest scientific and clinical value and encourages the submission of high-quality research that advances the understanding and treatment of pulmonary diseases. The journal is published in English. It publishes clinical and basic research articles, reviews, statements of agreement or disagreement on controversial issues, national and international consensus reports, systematic reviews and meta-analyses, letters to the editor, and editorials. Conference proceedings may also be considered for publication. The authors are required to provide abstracts in English . An independent, unbiased double peer-reviewed principle is used to select manuscripts for publication. Thoracic Research and Practice is a bimonthly journal that is published in January, March, May, July, September, and November. The editorial and publication processes of the journal are shaped in accordance with the guidelines of  the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE) ,  World Association of Medical Editors (WAME) ,  Council of Science Editors (CSE) ,  Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) ,  European Association of Science Editors (EASE) , and  National Information Standards Organization (NISO) . The journal is in conformity with  the Principles of Transparency and Best Practice in Scholarly Publishing .
