It primarily publishes articles that are general overviews, synthesizing discussed issues. They are focused on reconstructing human history through the prism of various sources. The volumes also contain a section for polemics and discussions, reviews of Polish and foreign literature, mainly archaeological and works from disciplines related to archaeology, as well as a chronicle.
