Acta Universitatis Lodziensis. Folia Archaeologica
Lodz University Press · Poland · Est. 1980
Aims & Scope
Acta Universitatis Lodziensis. Folia Archaeologica covers issues from the discipline of archaeology and historical archaeology. The aim of the journal is to publish the results of archaeological research conducted primarily in Central Europe. FA publishes texts based on both material culture sources and written records, created from the beginnings of culture to the present day. Theoretical considerations on research methods and methodology are also within the scope of interest. In addition to national, European, and global arenas, we are distinguished primarily by the fact that we frequently publish works concerning research on sites from modern times, e.g., the periods of World War I and II, as well as places associated with the genocide of fascist and communist totalitarianisms. Given the thematic scope and the group of outstanding researchers, not only archaeologists but also representatives of other scientific disciplines (historians, anthropologists, geographers, etc.), we occupy a unique position, not only among Polish scientific journals, setting publication standards for new thematic areas of archaeological research.
