Aims & Scope
Ruch Filozoficzny is an international scientific quarterly published by the Polish Philosophical Society and the Institute of Philosophy of Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń. Founded by Kazimierz Twardowski in 1911 in Lwów, it presents research conducted by the Polish scientific community and promotes international cooperation in the field of philosophy. In addition to classic scientific articles and reviews, we also publish author abstracts from lectures and talks, announcements and reports, and current news. The quarterly registers and commemorates important events for the community: important debates, conferences, and philosophical gatherings, and also publishes memoirs of important figures in the Polish philosophical community. In the ARTICLES section, we publish dissertations from the field of philosophical sciences (history of philosophy, axiology, ethics, aesthetics, logic, epistemology, philosophy of culture, philosophical anthropology, political philosophy). In the ARCHIVE OF RUCH FILOZOFICZNY section, we recall important texts published in our journal in the past. In the AUTHOR ABSTRACTS FROM LECTURES AND TALKS section, we present texts of lectures given during meetings of the Polish Philosophical Society and scientific conferences on philosophical topics. The section FROM THE LIFE OF THE POLISH PHILOSOPHICAL SOCIETY is dedicated to presenting reports from meetings of the Main Board of the Polish Philosophical Society, presentations of individual branches of the Society, and scientific events organized by them.
