Celem Studiów Socjologicznych jest publikowanie tekstów ze wszystkich dziedzin socjologii i z dyscyplin pokrewnych, jeśli problematyka ujęta jest z perspektywy socjologicznej. Publikowane są teksty o zróżnicowanym profilu – zarówno teoretyczne, jak i empiryczne. Pismo stanowi przestrzeń wymiany perspektyw naukowych oraz forum prezentacji wyników najnowszych badań, a także refleksji teoretycznej i metodologicznej, umożliwiając dialog w gronie naukowczyń i naukowców.
