Aims & Scope
Onomastica is a journal dedicated to the study of proper names, covering various aspects of onomastics, including terminology, conceptual characteristics, historical documents, personal identification, nicknames, place names, city names, and the cultural and historical background of their creation. It also features articles on the onymic landscape, linguistic landscape, and the symbolic conception of culture in onomastic research. The journal publishes research on onomastic topics in Poland and worldwide, including reviews, discussions, polemics, chronicles of scientific life, and materials and announcements related to onomastics.
