Aims & Scope
About the Journal Brazilian Journal of Veterinary Medicine History The Brazilian Journal of Veterinary Medicine was launched in 1979 as the official scientific journal of the Veterinary Medicine Society of the State of Rio de Janeiro (SOMVERJ). It is recognized by the Brazilian Society of Veterinary Medicine (SBMV) and by the Regional Council of Veterinary Medicine of the State of Rio de Janeiro (CRMV-RJ) . It has circulated uninterruptedly since then, registered under ISSN 0100-2430 (print) and ISSN-e 2527-2179 (online). Since 2018, it has been published exclusively in English (with abstracts in Portuguese and English), in a continuous publication system and open access. Focus and Scope To publish original research results in all areas of veterinary medicine, including: Scientific articles Case reports Short communications Research notes Review articles (by invitation only) Open Access Statement The Brazilian Journal of Veterinary Medicine is an open access journal. All content is freely available under the Creative Commons CC-BY license. Privacy Statement The names and email addresses entered on this site will be used exclusively for the editorial purposes of the journal and will not be made available to third parties. Accessibility Published works remain available online from the date of publication. There are no costs or registration requirements to access publications.
