Aims & Scope

The scope of published articles covers local and regional geology, conservation geology, economic geology, engineering geology, environmental geology, geochemistry, geomorphology, geophysics, hydrogeology, mining geology, palaeontology, petroleum geology, sedimentology, stratigraphy, structural geology and tectonics. In line with the mandate of the Society, the Bulletin supports original research primarily focusing on Southeast Asia, but also highlights issues of interest in the tropics as well as comparative features, approaches, techniques and technologies from other regions. Research papers published have scientific content that are of current interest, promote knowledge advancement, and have potential to impact geological activities that support socio-economic development. These include novel research including technical and policy reviews related to oil and gas exploration, mining, environmental management, earthquakes and hazards assessment, disaster risk reduction, climate change mitigation and adaptation.
