Aims & Scope
Medievalia is a multidisciplinary journal specialized in the European Middle Ages. It is an open access journal and a strictly peer-review journal. It publishes original texts only. It is aimed at a community open in interests, but always of specialists in the European Middle Ages. In addition to researchers, university professors and postgraduate students can benefit from this periodical publication. Topics. It receives works on all disciplines that build the understanding of the Middle Ages, but its profile is focused on six areas: philosophy, history, historiography, literature, textual criticism, and philology. It also receives works on the philosophical, philological, cultural or artistic antecedents of texts or ideas recreated in the Middle Ages, or on those concepts that, without having generated explicit medieval testimonies, were fundamental to understanding the complexity of the medieval world. It also publishes works on the repercussions of the Middle Ages in later periods, whether in Europe or America or any other geographical area, when the works explicitly show and analyze the medieval repercussion or link.
