Aims & Scope

The journal is a prestigious tribune that allows authors to present their research and achievements to the academic community. Since 1977, the Faculty of History has published its own edition of the Annual, which includes materials from established scholars from Bulgaria and abroad, as well as from young researchers presenting the results of their first studies. The editorial board of the journal prioritizes a wide range of historical topics of a discussion nature, research based on diverse methods and approaches, using a rich spectrum of sources and documents; studies funded by projects are also accepted. Materials from young scientists are encouraged and published in the 'Debuts' section. The journal provides an opportunity to publish opinions and reviews presented in the 'Reviews' section; from vol. 108 GSU-IF also has an 'In Memoriam' section. The editorial board calls on authors to familiarize themselves with the publication requirements of the journal and to strictly adhere to them. Author rights are protected under the CC BY 4.0 license.
