Aims & Scope
Focus and Scope Kościół i Prawo is a biannual journal published by the Faculty of Law, Canon Law and Administration of the John Paul II Catholic University of Lublin in cooperation with the University's Learned Society. The thematic scope of the title covers canon law and the relationship between the state and the Church (including ecclesiastical public law). In particular, published topics related to church constitutional law, church matrimonial law, church property law, church criminal law, as well as history of law. Particular emphasis is laid on Polish particular law. Apart from scholarly articles, the Journal also publishes reviews of studies and reports from scientific conferences. Studies published here by Polish and foreign authors are submitted in Polish and in other congress languages. They enable the exchange of knowledge and experience on both the national and the international forum. The subject matter of the articles concerns both current legal and socio-economic phenomena and their historical-legal analysis. Kościół i Prawo [kursywa] was published by the Catholic University of Lublin in 1981-1998 under the scholarly editorship of Rev. Prof. Dr Hab. Józef Krukowski. It was reactivated in 2012 by the Society in cooperation with the Faculty with Rev. Prof. Dr. Hab. Mirosław Sitarz as Editor in Chief. The electronic version of the Journal is original. Pursuant to the decision of the Regional Court in Lublin, First Civil Division, of 7 August 2015, file ref. I Ns Rej. Pr. 74/15, the journal "Kościół i Prawo" was recorded in the register of daily and periodical publications, item no. Rej. Pr. 1431
