Anales de Historia del Arte
Universidad Complutense Madrid · Spain · Est. 1989
Aims & Scope
Anales de Historia del Arte publishes original research articles on Art History and Visual Culture. The journal aims to question traditional narratives by focusing on spaces of artistic production, training, experimentation, and knowledge transmission, such as workshops and studios, throughout art history. It welcomes contributions that examine these spaces from diverse geographies and periods, employing methodologies interested in opening art history to archaeology, anthropology, social history, material culture studies, and digital humanities. Topics include the organization, collaboration, pedagogy, material practices, economic and institutional frameworks, gender, race, class, mobility, representation, and digital reconstructions related to workshops and studios. The journal also accepts articles not directly related to the thematic issue in a 'Varia' section.
