Aims & Scope

Godišnjak/Jahrbuch is is the journal of the Centre for Balkan Studies of the Academy of Sciences and Arts of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Godišnjak/Jahrbuch has been published since 1957. First (I) and second volumes (II-1961) were published in the edition of the Institute for Balkan Studies of the Scientific Society of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Since 1965 (III / 1) the publisher is the Centre for Balkan Studies. Godišnjak/Jahrbuch is a regular annual interdisciplinary publication in which members and associates of the Centre as well as experts from around the world are publishing their studies/articles. Our Journal publishes scientific papers from the field of archaeology, history, history of arts, anthropology, ottoman, linguistics and ethnology. This journal uses double-blind review, which means that both the reviewers and author identities are concealed from the reviewers, and vice versa, throughout the review process. To facilitate this, authors need to ensure that their manuscripts are prepared in a way that does not give away their identity. This should include the title, authors' names and affiliations, and a complete address for the corresponding author including telephone and e-mail address. Besides the obvious need to remove names and affiliations under the title within the manuscript, there are other steps that need to be taken to ensure the manuscript is correctly prepared for double-blind peer review. To assist with this process the key items that need to be observed are as follows: If the Editor receives conflicting recommendations from reviewers, third opinion will be requested. All reviews are done by peer reviewers.
