Aims & Scope

About the Journal Aims and scope Archaeologia Adriatica is a scientific journal aiming to publish papers in archaeology but also those from other scientific fields related to archaeology (methodology, history, art history, anthropology, ethnology, museology etc.). The articles should contain the results of research of Adriatic area and its limitrophe territories. The journal has been published by the Department of Archaeology of the University of Zadar since 2007. It is one of the successors of the journal Radovi Filozofskog fakulteta u Zadru. Razdio povijesnih znanosti (ISSN 0352-6712, e-ISSN 2806-8424). From the 5 th volume (2011) onwards, all papers are published in Croatian and English (with the possibility of publication in language other than English). In 2020 the journal achieved the highest national rank for scientific serial publications (so called A1 status). Free open access journal Archaeologia Adriatica is an open access journal . The content is completely free of charge for readers and authors. Submission of manuscripts The journal is published annually . The articles are published online first (i. e. an electronic version of the article is published after review, proofreading and typesetting but in advance of the print edition; e-ISSN 1848-9281 ; DOI: 10.15291/archeo ) and then in print form (ISSN 1846-4807 ). The procedure of review and correction approximately take four months and proofreading, translation and typesetting approximately take additional four months. The role of the editorial board The role of the Editorial Board of a scientific journal is prescribed in the Code of Ethics for authors, editors and reviewers of publications by the University of Zadar . The Editorial Board of the journal Arhaeologia Adriatica fully complies with the Code mentioned above. Editors are encouraged to do a preliminary assessment of the work, to assess whether the work is suited to the topical journal, to assess the scholarly relevance of the manuscript, and to
