Aims & Scope
Estudios Avanzados publishes interdisciplinary work with a transregional focus from South America, the Caribbean, and North America in connection with Asia. It covers methodological and theoretical proposals for approaching historical and contemporary relationships and links between Asia and Latin America, expanding the geographical frame of reference to consider spaces and processes of encounter, exchange, and negotiation that cross and connect the Pacific and Atlantic worlds. The journal welcomes contributions from various fields including literature, anthropology, history, and cultural studies, utilizing a wide range of materials such as news media, diplomatic encounters, ethnographic participations, and literature. It also features miscellaneous articles on topics like collective memory and the materiality of knowledge in identity formation.
