Aims & Scope
The journal Acta Universitatis Lodziensis. Folia Librorum focuses on issues broadly related to the science of the book, information science, social communication and media science, culture and religion science, including topics related to: scientific information, theory and practice of librarianship and book science, publishing and bookselling movement, book science biography, use of information technologies for processing, processing and making available electronic resources, contemporary media market, promotion of books and reading. The aim of the journal is to publish original works, reviews of specialized publications and source materials related to the theory and methodology of scientific information and related fields in the context of broadly understood humanities. The title also aims to be a forum for disseminating scientific works and research results concerning information science and other disciplines conducting social and technological analyses of information activities. The journal also serves to present critical reviews and polemics on publications concerning library and book science, (digital) scientific communication, and reports on current events in the field of science and culture heritage.
