Profil czasopisma obejmuje zagadnienia dotyczące historii książki, dziejów bibliotek i ich zbiorów, współczesnego bibliotekarstwa, bibliologii, informacji naukowej i dokumentacji oraz prasoznawstwa. Periodyk zawiera stałe działy: Artykuły, Miscellanea, Recenzje. Artykuły i Miscellanea są opatrzone abstraktami w języku angielskim. Na język angielski jest przetłumaczony także spis treści każdego rocznika. Publikowane teksty są ilustrowane materiałami wskazanymi przez autorów.
