Revista Mexicana de Ciencias Geologicas
Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Mexico · Mexico · Est. 1976
Aims & Scope
Revista Mexicana de Ciencias Geológicas (RMCG) publishes original research papers on Earth processes of broad interest, and particularly those dealing with regions of Latin America. The RMCG also publishes review papers on topics of current interest, and on the geology and tectonics of geological provinces of Latin America. Besides, it offers the opportunity for host editors to publish special thematic issues. Papers suitable for the RMCG are those that: (1) report high-quality data, (2) thoroughly discuss the implications of the results in the light of recent and relevant scientific literature, and (3) are of broad interest or have an impact on other disciplines. Of particular interest are contributions related to tectonics, structural geology, sedimentary geology, stratigraphy, volcanology, geochemistry, geophysics, hydrogeology, paleoclimatology, environmental sciences, paleontology, geomorphology, geological engineering, or geotechnics. Papers that address local or highly specialized topics are more appropriate for other regional or disciplinary journals.
