Aims & Scope
The Journal of AOAC INTERNATIONAL provides the latest information in basic and applied research in analytical sciences related to foods, drugs, agriculture, the environment, and more. The Journal of AOAC INTERNATIONAL is published six times yearly, presenting fully refereed manuscripts of original research on new analytical methods for chemical and microbiological analysis in various topic areas related to foods, drugs, agriculture, and environment. The Journal publishes investigations of food safety (chemical and microbiological) issues, but not results from routine analysis or surveys. The Journal also publishes reviews, symposium presentations, invited special sections that focus on methodology, nutritional, health and safety, and regulatory aspects of chemical contaminants in food and environment and major and minor components of food. In addition to the specific scope under each topic area, papers can also include information on statistical and chemometric analysis, when and where applicable, to evaluate method performance parameters and to extend the possibilities of analytical techniques or provide re-interpretation of previously published data.
