Izvestiya, Physics of the Solid Earth is a peer-reviewed journal publishing original research in the physics of the Earth's interior and applied geophysics. Features the studies of geophysical processes, including plate tectonics, seismic activity, gravity, geomagnetism, and thermal properties, to understand the structure and dynamics of the Earth's interior. Published as Izvestiya of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR. Physics of the Solid Earth (from 1965 to 1991) and Bulletin of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR. Geophysics Series (before 1964).
