Aims & Scope

Global Business Languages publishes original, peer-reviewed articles that make a significant contribution to the field of Business Language Studies. Embracing a broad definition of business, we welcome submissions in a variety of related interdisciplinary subfields within Language for Specific Purposes (LSP), such as language for the arts, law, health sciences, engineering, etc.. We particularly welcome articles that are theoretically framed or empirically driven, and that offer new perspectives, and/or refine or challenge current practices in LSP. Contributions may pertain to any language, including English for non-native speakers. This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge. Authors retain copyright and grant the journal right of first publication with the work simultaneously licensed under aCC-By-NC-ND licensethat allows others to share the work with an acknowledgement of the work’s authorship and initial publication in this journal. Authors are able to enter into separate, additional contractual arrangements for the non-exclusive distribution of the journal’s published version of the work (e.g., post it to an institutional repository or publish it in a book), with an acknowledgement of its initial publication in this journal.
