Aims & Scope

Silva Gabreta addresses all scientific, social, economic, and cultural factors that influence regional condition of the low-range mountainous environment, with particular focus on the Bohemian Forest – the largest transboundary continuous woodland region in central Europe. Besides natural history and conservation biology of this broad mountainous region, Silva Gabreta particularly encourages multi- or inter-disciplinary submissions with explicit management or policy recommendations. Any comparison with other similar mountainous ecosystems of Europe is welcome. Papers published in Silva Gabreta fall into the following categories: Research paper, Report, Review, Perspective, Opinion, or Comment. Regardless of article category, your submission should have a clear link between a broad region of the Bohemian Forest and the scope covering miscellaneous environmental issues. The broad scope of coverage extends to ecology, biodiversity, taxonomy, conservation biology, forestry, socio-ecology, socio-economy, environmental economics, geology, geochemistry, geomorphology, paleontology, archaeology, limnology, hydrology, meteorology, and physical geography.
