Profil i zakres tematyczny czasopisma obejmują szeroko rozumiany „świat młodzieży” badany z perspektywy różnych dyscyplin naukowych. Czasopismo publikuje opracowania szczególnie z zakresu pedagogiki, edukacji, psychologii, socjologii, studiów nad rodziną, prawa, filozofii, antropologii, teologii i historii wychowania. Ponadto „Seminare” dąży do stworzenia szerokiej platformy wymiany idei i doświadczeń związanych ze „światem młodzieży” i ze współczesnym sporem o człowieka.
