Aims & Scope

Przegląd Socjologii Jakościowej is an open-access, international scientific journal. It publishes empirical, theoretical, and methodological works concerning all fields and specializations within sociology. The journal also invites authors to publish works containing documentation of research data previously deposited in a selected repository (so-called data articles describing data sets) or classic scientific articles with data documentation as a supplement. Each article is anonymously reviewed by two reviewers, and the Editorial Team and Scientific Council ensure the high substantive level of the journal. The journal is dedicated to Symbolic Interactionism, Grounded Theory, Social Worlds Studies, Discourse Analysis, Biographical Analysis, Content Analysis, Social Anthropology, Deconstructionism, Ethnography, Ethnography of Communication, Holistic Ethnography, Institutional Ethnography, Ethnoscience, Ethnomethodology, Conversational Analysis, Evaluative Social Research, Phenomenology, Phenomenography, Hermeneutics, Narrative Studies, Naturalistic Studies, Case Studies, and other variations of the qualitative stream in social sciences.

A twelfth criterion — whether APC fees are clearly disclosed — is not scored here; it is left out of the total rather than counted as a failure. Publication charges appear in the metrics card above.
