Aims & Scope

Syariah: Jurnal Hukum dan Pemikiran focuses on Islamic jurisprudence and legal studies within Indonesian and global contexts. The journal emphasizes contemporary legal discourse related to law, personal status, religion, politics, criminal justice, gender equality, and social responsibility. The journal publishes original research and current discussions in Islamic law and related legal fields. It welcomes contributions from scholars across interdisciplinary areas. The scope includes, but is not limited to: Legal science Islamic family law (Ahwal al-Syakhsiyah), including marriage, inheritance, wills, and waqf Islamic jurisprudence of worship (Fiqh Ibadah) related to ritual obligations Islamic commercial law (Mu’amalah) governing social and economic transactions Deductive and inductive jurisprudence based on the Qur’an and Hadith (Fiqh Ilmiyah) Islamic political law (Fiqh Siyasah) addressing governance and public policy Criminal Islamic law (Fiqh Jinayah), including offenses and punishments Judicial law (Fiqh Qadha’) concerning court and adjudication systems Gender-related Islamic jurisprudence promoting equality between men and women Islamic medical jurisprudence (Fiqh al-Thib), addressing health and medical ethics Islamic arts and aesthetics (Fiqh al-Faniyah) supporting creative expression Environmental jurisprudence (Fiqh al-Bi’ah) concerning human and ecological relations Social jurisprudence (Fiqh al-Ijtima’iyah) focusing on solidarity and social responsibility
