Aims & Scope
Journal of Urban Ethnology is an open-access journal for researchers of urban culture, both in its theoretical-methodological dimension and in detailed analysis of urban culture aspects. Ethnology/anthropology of the city is understood broadly, not only in relation to the culture of the strictly urban environment, but also considering the issue of the spread of urban lifestyles to other socio-cultural environments, including, for example, small towns or villages. JUE publishes texts of a theoretical, methodological, analytical, comparative, and empirical nature. We print articles that have not been published before. JUE is an interdisciplinary journal, in which publish: ethnologists/cultural anthropologists, cultural scholars, historians, sociologists, architects and urban planners, literary scholars, folklorists, museologists, representing many different scientific centers. The scope of JUE covers the Central and Eastern European region.
