Journal of Molecular Evolution focuses on deciphering features of molecular evolution and the processes related to these features. Publishes subfields such as new genome sequences, comparative genomics, population genetics, and the evolution of gene regulation and gene interaction networks. Presents experimental, computational, and theoretical work. Examines comparative structural and functional genomics, among other topics. Covers the evolution of informational macromolecules and their relation to complex levels of biological organization. Explores molecular basis for the evolution of ecological interactions of species and the use of molecular data to infer fundamental processes in evolutionary ecology.
