Revista científica en línea, de publicación cuatrimestral, sobre cuestiones rurales en sus aspectos sociales, económicos, políticos y culturales. Publica artículos originales e inéditos, comunicaciones, reseñas bibliográficas y una sección destinada a debatir un tema específico. Este espacio se abre desde la historia rural hacia el conjunto de los estudios sociales agrarios (sociología, antropología, geografía) y también hacia cuestiones conexas que puedan enriquecer la disciplina. Si bien la revista privilegiará las cuestiones agrarias argentinas y latinoamericanas, estará abierta a las temáticas provenientes de otras geografías, promoviendo con ello el desarrollo de una perspectiva comparada sobre las temáticas que abarca.
