Estudios Rurales
Universidad Nacional de Quilmes · Argentina
Aims & Scope
Estudios Rurales is a publication of the Center for Studies of Rural Argentina of the National University of Quilmes (CEAR-UNQ) whose structure attempts to cover different types of collaborations related to the study of rural issues. The sections aim to allow a wide range of collaborations, with diverse objectives and nature. The characteristics of each of them allow us to offer readers broad thematic possibilities and, in turn, open a space for the scientific community to channel its production. Estudios Rurales has a continuous edition with a bimonthly frequency (January-June and July-December of each year). It publishes original research articles, essays, and book reviews published in the last three years. Works in Spanish, Portuguese, and English are accepted. It is primarily aimed at an academic audience interested in rural issues from an interdisciplinary perspective. Its target audience includes researchers, faculty, and undergraduate and postgraduate students of anthropology, environmental and agricultural sciences, social sciences, communication, geography, history, and sociology, who analyze the economic, political, social, and cultural aspects of the rural world in global contexts. All articles are evaluated anonymously by two specialists who are not members of the journal's editorial committee. External authorship is a central characteristic of this journal. Works by researchers from all over the world are included. Each year, at least 80% of the articles come from collaborators external to the publishing institution (Center for Studies of Rural Argentina-National University of Quilmes) and the Editorial Committee.
