Aims & Scope

Medievalista is an online publication of the IEM with an interdisciplinary approach, seeking to respond to the lack of Portuguese periodical publications on the Middle Ages. Medievalista aims to showcase the most recent work of new researchers, as well as that of established scholars, and to contribute to the broad dissemination of medieval academic culture. Communications presented within the scope of meetings, colloquia, and seminars promoted by the IEM will also be disseminated, with the publication of thematic issues planned for the future. With the publication of the journal, we want to open a space for debate of ideas with the community, promote and disseminate new approaches to the study of the Middle Ages, strongly encouraging the development of interdisciplinary work.
