Aims & Scope

The journal Theory and Practice of Public Administration publishes articles featuring original scientific research findings within the specialty 281 "Public Management and Administration." It serves as a platform for the exchange of research outcomes, the analysis of theoretical frameworks, and the formulation of practical recommendations aimed at enhancing the efficacy of public administration and local self-government. Thematic Scope of the Journal: Development of the Public Administration System in Ukraine State Regulation of Economic and Social Development Processes Directions for Reforming the Local Self-Government System in Ukraine Specifics of Implementing State Personnel Policy in Ukraine Foreign Policy and National Security Purpose of the Journal: The aim of the journal is to establish and sustain a high-quality academic platform for scholars and practitioners dedicated to investigating issues within the field of study 28 "Public Management and Administration" (including axiological, economic, educational, social, legal, political science, sociological, environmental, philosophical, and military aspects). Furthermore, it seeks to foster the development of innovative approaches and the elaboration of recommendations targeted at refining the public administration system to achieve intended outcomes and productive societal transformations. Primary Objectives of the Journal: Establishing an open platform to cultivate an international academic space and facilitate the exchange of contemporary research and expert knowledge between scholars and public management practitioners. Providing scholarly support for reforms and reconstruction through the development of applied recommendations aimed at institutional transformations, European integration, enhancing local self-government capacity, and the socio-economic recovery of Ukraine. Providing an analytical foundation for societal consolidation and social cohesion through the investigation of security issues, foreign policy, and the adaptability of the state apparatus under conditions of martial law and global crises. Promoting innovation and digitalization by stimulating the implementation of cutting-edge technologies, e-government, and contemporary mechanisms of crisis management. Deepening the interdisciplinary approach through the integration of research in economics, law, security, and social processes to provide comprehensive responses to complex administrative challenges. Cultivating an administrative culture in which scientific thought is translated into tangible actions through the prism of ethical goal-setting, and the practice of public officials serves the highest societal ideals of morality, social justice, humanity, and the inviolability of human freedom.
