هدف مجلۀ مطالعات حقوق تطبیقی ، انتشار جدیدترین تولیدات علمی با رویکرد تطبیقی در قلمرو رشتۀ حقوق است. از آنجا که یکی از ارکان مطالعاتی در رشتۀ حقوق، مطالعۀ تطبیقی است این مجله تلاش می‌کند دستاوردهای نظام‌های مختلف حقوقی را به جامعۀ علمی کشور معرفی و راهنمایی لازم را برای قانونگذارن، سیاستگذاران، دادرسان و وکلای ارجمند فراهم نماید. البته مطالعۀ تطبیقی می‌تواند به مطالعۀ میان فقه و حقوق و حقوق و سایر رشته‌های علمی نیز منجر شود. از این رو، مجله از مقالات میان رشته‌ای که با حقوق تطبیقی داده شده باشند نیز استقبال می‌نماید.
