The specialized areas of this journal align with the vision, research, and technology charter of the Ministry of Petroleum (Research and Technology Portfolio, Fundamental Research, Frontier Science, and Research Topics Defined Based on Critical Needs and Operational Challenges of the Company to Enhance Performance). These areas are as follows: Refining processes Conversion, purification, storage, and transportation of crude oil, petroleum products, and refining outputs Design, construction, protection, maintenance, and repair of refinery equipment Design, construction, protection, maintenance, and repair of storage tanks and pipelines for refineries, as well as the National Iranian Oil Products Distribution Company and Pipeline Company HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) in the field of refining and distribution Consumable materials in the National Iranian Oil Refining and Distribution Company (including catalysts, chemicals, additives, etc.) Modern technologies (membranes, nanotechnology, biotechnology, artificial intelligence, digital transformation, etc.) in the activities of the National Iranian Oil Refining and Distribution Company Energy consumption optimization in the activities of the National Iranian Oil Refining and Distribution Company Quantitative and qualitative improvement of various refinery products and enhancement of standards The journal aims to publish scientific papers (research, promotional, applied, and review articles) related to the specialized areas mentioned above. The journal is licensed as a scientific publication under the Ministry of Science, Research, and Technology regulations. It is owned by the National Iranian Oil Refining and Distribution Company and is published quarterly.
