Aims & Scope

SCRIPTed is an open access, online, international, interdisciplinary journal dedicated to exploring the dynamic and complex relationships between law, policy, society, ethics, technologies and innovation in the broadest sense. Our scope is intentionally broad and inclusive, welcoming legal and interdisciplinary scholarship across these interconnected domains. It includes, but is not limited to : The legal, ethical, and societal implications of emerging and established technologies and innovation (e.g., artificial intelligence, biotechnology, blockchain, digital platforms, information technology, e-commerce, etc). All facets of intellectual property law. Media law. Communications law. Medical law. Regulatory and policy challenges in these rapidly evolving fields, both nationally and internationally. We encourage submissions from a wide range of academic disciplines, including but not limited to law, sociology, philosophy, computer science, economics, political science, and science and technology studies. We also welcome contributions from scholars with non-law backgrounds who engage deeply with legal, social, ethical, and policy questions in these areas.
